Hygge Picks for a Cozy Home (and a Sale!)
Hygge: ('hooga') noun; a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being (regarded as a defining characteristic of Danish culture).
By now I'm sure you've heard about Hygge, but have you incorporated it in your own home? No? Well fall is fast approaching so it's about time! I'm here with a list of my favorite, cozy home additions and if that's not enough, for this week and this week only I'm running my first ever sale! As the temp starts to dip you'll want a luxurious throw for those movie nights at home. This knitted number is the perfect indulgence for the back or a chair or the foot of the bed.
Love me some candle light, but not a fan of the artificial, overly perfumed candles. Instead I opt for 100% natural beeswax. They have a subtle sweet aroma, burn slowly, and won't create a giant wax mess on your coffee table.
Nothing says cooler temps like something slowly braising away on the stove (think grandma's marinara or a succulent lamb shank). Whatever your pleasure, I suggest a colorful braiser that you're happy to have sitting out for everyone to see.
Any mug that holds a steaming cup or tea or hot cocoa will do. Just be sure it holds enough of your beverage of choice so you don't have to think about getting off the sofa any time soon.
Perfectly wrinkled linen napkins are the ideal addition to a fireside dinner with family and friends. Don't bother ironing. You'll ruin the whole I-just-threw-this-stunner-of-a dinner-together look if you do. Bonus, they get even better with every wash.
